Day One: the First Day (again)

Seven. That is the number of times I've woken up an thought, "This is the first day of the new college year." Five years of undergrad, and now my second in grad. It was an exciting and fun day, getting to see and talk to old faces again.

But this time around, I feel worn out. I've got a great gig at Finders' Records, writing columns for ye olde BG News, and an interesting assistantship. My thesis seems to be coming together, and I'm (theoretically) going to Portland to interview peeps for it.

But all I really want are two days in a row, where I don't work, go to class, have meetings, read/do homework, or even leave the apartment.

Maybe that just means I'm running low on caffeine. That must be it.

It begins anew...

Grad student orientation is this week. My assistantship meeting was today. All I can think is... "This should be be fun. This should be insane and stressfil."

Here goes nothing...

"...a sad pun of an even sadder mess"

One may say that today's post was derived from the Marx Brothers, incorporating Eddie Izzard and my job in music retail. Enjoy:

"Thank you for flying Church of England...

New stuff

So, I think I'm going to add dates to the links to other Hub sites. This will allow everybody to know when something new is posted. Hooray efficiency! Hooray beer!

No, not really. But if you want to read about unethical promotion practices, hop over to Samizdat Radio. (Sounds fun, I bet!)
