Essence of Hilarity

Here is an immutable fact of the world: Harvey Birdman is even funnier when drunk on mead.

Is it funnier when drunk on any other substance? The empirical evidence does not suggest an answer one way or the other.

Why would one get drunk on mead? Though one might hypothesize such things as bitterness towards a current graduate assistantship, or a desire for connection to Norse ancestors, the truth is far more prosaic.

I've only had one meal the entire day. Oops.
